Diane! This message is so needed right now, thank you for sharing. I love how you found such depth in your experience (no pun intended, for once lol). It reminded me of the quote about the Apollo moon rockets being off course 97% of the time, but they still got to the moon. Loving this message so much.
Sam! I did not know that about the Apollo moon rockets and I love it - it just gave me chills - it really is about course-correcting and coming back to center again and again and trusting the path - Love it!
Please let me remember this whenever I need it next (which truthfully may be in an hour). Thank you, Diane! There is so much wisdom in this gentle piece.
Oh you made me laugh out loud Lori Ann! You're so right...the trick is remembering. And then remembering again. Maybe an hourly alarm wouldn't go amiss!
Lovely course correction strategy, yet at age 71, I have found that charting a new course is an ongoing and necessary strategy for life as 'fouling the prop' becomes the norm.
Diane. You are just the best. Tracy and I were both talking about how much we LOVED this post and so many of your posts. You truly walk the walk, throwing all your practices at all of life and showing up so fully to so much!
Love your course correction teaching (and the pictures). Try sailing somewhere. You're rarely heading where you want to go and it's constant course correction as the wind wobbles!
We're just back for a few days in the garden, so if you're near Sorrento let us know and we'll feed you.

The only course correction I am certain of these days, is to keep returning to my heart; it knows the way.

I love this added wisdom Jan...and it sounds like you've developed a new beautiful strategy for fouled props!
Love the lesson(s) here, Diane! So true! Enjoy your journeys and detours. You're an inspiration, always.
Thanks so much Deborah! And for being some of the original inspiration behind my writing!

Ah yes - as a veteran sailor, YOU are the ultimate navigation system! It makes me wonder how having that in your bones translates to everyday life.
And ThankYou (and Linette!) for the offer to share the bounty of that gorgeous garden of yours.
Aw Tam - thankyou so much! From someone who totally walks the walk, this means so much to me....I must just be the mirror reflecting you back to you!
Our ultimate navigation system - thankyou so much Ann for presencing that.
