So grateful for this. I didn't know how much I needed this message until I read it. Thank you. I wasted no time and went right to one of the abundance of parks in my area, Washington Crossing Park. As I headed toward the trees, I was immediately struck by the beauty of this Japanese Maple. I followed your guidelines as I continued through the park, chatting up strangers here and there while looking and listening to the trees, to see if I was feeling called by any of them. I made my way across the park to the Delaware River and sat taking that in for a while as well. I passed a happy patch of white clover blossoms and I plucked a handful to have a bouquet to present to whichever tree I would communicate with. Soon enough I found myself back where I started, staring at the beauty of the Japanese maple and feeling yes, this feels right. I approached and introduced myself saying, hello, I'm Chris. Then followed your suggestion and asked may I sit with you awhile? I approach slowly and respectfully, I presented the bouquet of clover Flowers and place them in a convenient notch at her base. I sat down with my back against her; she Itfelt so strong and sturdy. I closed my eyes and breathed while I calmed my racing thoughts. I decided to ask her what my life's true work is And how do I go about it, all in Japanese by using Google translate and then playing the translation allowed so she could hear it. 😁
I sat in silence enjoying the breeze. I wasn't hearing or feeling any responses to that inquiry so I pivoted and used your suggested question of what do you want me to remember about being alive now? The response was swift: she said it is important that I stay alive. I thought on that for a few moments and then asked "do you want to tell me more?" She responded saying "You are instrumental."I sat longer, taking that in. I felt peaceful and confident. And more than anything else, gratitude.
The understanding that the natural world is alive, conscious and filled with Spirit.
Trees, rivers, stones, animals, and wind aren’t just scenery; they’re beings we’re meant to be in relationship with - to learn from, give to and communicate with.
Our ancient ancestors—your ancient ancestors—understood that the physical and spiritual worlds are deeply intertwined.
They knew how to live in reciprocal harmony with both worlds…" Yes! I love this! ♥️
